Raytown High School’s Departments of Music and Theatre present, 9 to 5
Raytown High School’s Departments of Theatre and Music present 9 to 5. The show will run Nov. 18-20, at 7 p.m., in the Raytown High School Auditorium.
9 to 5 the Musical, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970s, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic. Pushed to the boiling point, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with their terrible boss. In a hilarious turn of events, the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down.
Performers include Clara Bryant as Violet, Jessica Johnson as Doralee, Cynne Soria as Judy, Parker Cobden as Mr. Hart, Lucas Mayo as Joe, and Naomi Gonterman as Roz. The ensemble is made up of Trinity Brown, Izzie Lawrence, Leahnna Seals, Phenix Watson, Kya Berry, Kamryn Etter, Marissa Johnson, Alana Miller, Reiko Groves, Clara Heiken, Ariel Giles, Sariyah Shells, Angel Hernandez, Amber Swenson, Hannah Cartner, Allie Braly, Dominick Loaiza, Marques Alsup, Matthew Maluia, Anthony Carranza, Antonio Taylor, Nigel Turner, and Eric Hartman.
The crew is led by Mr. Lorne Kelley and includes Maggie Givens as stage manager, Kaila Beecher and Yleiza Soria as assistant stage managers, Cynne Soria as scenic designer, Lucas Mayo and Lucas McCarroll as lighting designers, Phenix Watson as sound designer, Naomi Gonterman and Maggie Givens as costume designers, Jessica Johnson as hair/makeup designer, Izzie Lawrence as props manager, and Parker Cobden as business manager. Phenix Watson and Marissa Johnson serve as assistant directors.

Due to copyright restrictions, online streaming will not be available for this performance.
