Raytown High School Student-Athletes Receive Post-Season Honors for Spring Sports
Several varsity student-athletes from Raytown High School earned post-season honors in the sports of baseball, girls soccer, and track and field.
Raytown High School baseball players who earned All-Conference honors include Christian Johnson who earned first team outfielder honors, Quelann Coleman first team infielder honors, and Clayton Hendrix who earned second team honors at pitcher. Christian Johnson was also named Conference Player of the Year.
The Raytown High School Baseball team is coached by Warren Strickland.
Raytown High School girls soccer players who earned All-District honors include Ashlyn Ledgerwood and Brigid Hughes. Brigid Hughes also received first team All-Conference honors. Kailey Holladay earned honorable mention All-Conference honors.
The Raytown High School Girls Soccer team is coached by Roger Burriss.
Raytown High School varsity track athletes who placed in the state competition and earned All-State honors include Dontate Manning earned third place in the 100m dash, and Kaylani Hoskin earned sixth place in the discus throw. The Raytown High School 4x200m relay of Tariah Baker, Shelby Butts, Alecea Strong, and Makyla Carson also earned All-State honors, earned third place in the state track meet, and broke the school record.
