Raytown School District Recognized as one of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America
The Raytown School District was recognized as one of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America presented by Springbuk®. The Raytown School District was selected as 36 out of 100 workplaces. This is the second year in a row the District has been selected as one of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America. The winning organizations were honored for their commitment to employee health and exceptional wellness programming.
This award recognizes the Raytown School District as one of the best of the best in work site health nationally. The Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America award culminates the conclusion of the year-long wellness awards program that Healthiest Employers® hosts in over 45 cities across the United States. Each winning company is considered an exemplary leader for the effectiveness of their population health and wellness initiatives.
More than 1,000 of America’s top wellness programs were evaluated for this award across the country. This year’s Healthiest 100 Workplaces winners include organizations as small as 32 full-time employees and as large as over 150,000 employees. They span nearly every industry, size, geography and include both privately-held and publicly traded organizations.
Award applicants were evaluated across six key categories: Culture and Leadership Commitment, Foundational Components, Strategic Planning, Marketing and Communications, Programming and Interventions, and lastly, Reporting and Analytics. Applicants were evaluated with the proprietary Healthiest Employers® Index, a 1-100 rubric for wellness programming. These organizations have achieved lasting success through a wide array of employee wellness initiatives and corporate wellness programs.
“We are honored to be considered as one of the Healthiest Employers in the nation,” Superintendent Dr. Allan Markley said. “We hope our efforts to improve the quality of life of our staff members through resources provided by the District will result in higher student achievement as well as the retention of high-performing staff members who are healthier and happier.”
The Raytown School District provides each employee, their spouse, and dependents under 18 a free membership to the Raytown Schools Wellness Center. Employees can also take advantage of the Raytown Schools Quality Care Clinic open to only employees and their families. The District also provides employees with wellness information and hosts challenges to motivate employees to make healthy decisions on a regular basis. Since the opening of the Raytown Schools Quality Care Clinic, the District has experienced a return on investment of over $1.7 million, which equates to $1.50 avoided for every $1 spent. Employees have saved an estimated $460,800 in out-of-pocket expenses by utilizing the Clinic.
“Each year, our team is encouraged by the innovative spirit for companies to advocate on behalf of their most important asset – their people,” said Phil Daniels, co-founder of Springbuk and Healthiest Employers. “The winners of the Healthiest 100 award demonstrate this commitment in unprecedented fashion with their programming, executive support, and data-centric approach. Each company should be proud of their proactive efforts to sustain a healthy, lasting workforce.”
Each year, Springbuk, a health intelligence software company, administers the Healthiest Employers® Award Program across the United States to honor the nation’s most dedicated employers in bettering their worksite health and wellness programs.
