Raytown School District Announces the Hiring of Raytown South High School Football Coach
The Raytown School District is pleased to announce the hiring of William Harris as the Head Football Coach at Raytown South High School.
Harris is a 1999 graduate of Raytown South High and currently serves as the Head Football Coach at Van Horn High School in Independence, Missouri. During his tenure at Van Horn, the team won their first playoff game in school history and had 11 college signees over a five-year period. In 2019, Harris was the Head Coach of the MOKAN All Star Game.
Harris previously served as the Varsity Defensive Coordinator at Raytown High School from 2014 -2016 and Grandview High School from 2008-2013. He also served as the Defensive Ends Coach at Avila University from 2006-2007.
Harris earned his Bachelors of Science in Business and Marketing Education and a Minor in Math from Baker University, Baldwin City, KS. He earned his Certification in Secondary Mathematics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
