Raytown High School Student Council Receives MASC Gold Award
The Raytown High School Student Council received the Missouri Association of Student Councils (MASC) Gold Award for the fifth year in a row.
Raytown High School Student Council was one of only 60 student councils selected as a Gold Award recipient from around the state of Missouri. Student councils must submit an application detailing activities including service, school spirit, community service, student and teacher recognition, and leadership training activities.
Student councils selected for the award must have a comprehensive program promoting student activities and student leadership. Raytown High School Student Council was selected for the award because of the school’s positive atmosphere where students and student council play a vital role in their school. Raytown High School Student Council was also selected for their involvement in the community, in district student council and in state student council.
“I am extremely proud of the work Student Council does and the different activities we do at Raytown High School to continue to bring the individuals of this school together,” Raytown High School student council co-sponsor Josh Reichert said. “This award affirms the hard work and everything we have accomplished that benefits Raytown High School and the Raytown community.”
Raytown High School Student Council sponsors are Josh Reichert and Veronica Shackelford.
