High School Students Selected for All-District Choirs
Students in the vocal music programs at Raytown High School and Raytown South High School were selected for the Kansas City Metro All-District choirs.
Raytown High School students selected to the Kansas City Metro All-District choirs included Aiden Harkins and Joshua McCarroll who were selected to the All-District Mixed Choir. Harkins and McCarroll are now eligible to participate in virtual auditions for the All-State choir on March 13.
Raytown High School student Clara Bryant was selected to the Soprano I, Soprano II, Alto I, and Alto II (SSAA) honor choir.
Raytown South High School student Mackenzie Jakes who was also selected to the SSAA honor choir.
As part of the selection process to the Kansas City Metro All-District choirs, students must prepare a 60-90 second of a classical solo. This year, auditions took place virtually.
The Raytown High School Choir program is under the direction of Alex Kolster and Brenda Yeates. The Raytown South High School Choir program is under the direction of Gretchen Kemp and Dr. Erin Lillie.
