Welcome to Raytown South Middle

  • Front of RSMS Raytown South Middle School, the district’s second middle school, opened its doors to students in 1958 serving students in grades 1-6 while school building projects were under construction around the district.  Gordon Smith was the school’s first principal.  At the start of the 1958-1959 school year, Raytown South Middle School originally named, Raytown South Junior High, began serving students in grades 6-9 in the southern part of the district. Throughout the years, Raytown South Middle School has been home to students in grades 6-9, 7-9, and is currently home to students in grades 6-8.

  • Semester 2 Materials Pick-up

     

    Come through the circle drive at the front entrance to pick up materials for 2nd semester virtual learning. Just pull up to the front entrance and we'll help you get the updated texts and other learning items. Here are the scheduled times:

    Tuesday (1/19) 12-3pm

    Wednesday (1/20) 12-5pm

    Thursday (1/21) 8am-12pm

     

    Virtual Learning

    Virtual learning has been extended through April 5th. See our virtual schedule as well as the district virtual handbook to find out more about what each day of instruction will look like.

      

     

    PALS Support for Parents During Virtual Learning

    Meals Every Day

    *These are basic lists to get students started for the year. Certain classroom activities may require additional supplies throughout the year. Many schools may also be holding school supply sales, and if so, they will be sending you information on dates and time.

    We recognize that creating a safe learning environment is a critical part of helping each child achieve academic success. Sprigeo is a new online system that parents, guardians, and students can use to report bullying incidents and school safety threats. Sprigeo will give our stakeholders another medium for communicating with our school administration when bullying or school safety incidents occur. All information sent through the Sprigeo system goes directly to school administrators through a secure online connection.     As part of the district's efforts to be more environmentally friendly, embrace innovative technology and maintain fiscal responsibility, the district has transitioned from paper to electronic flier (eflier delivery). To publicize content that supports the basic educational mission of the district and/or benefits the population of the district in a positive manner, the Raytown C-2 School District uses Peachjar, a free online service for schools, to post approved efliers so that they are accessible to parents, staff and students as wanted/needed.
