Candidate Filing Information:
The Raytown C-2 School District encourages qualified persons interested in running for a position on the School Board to file to be a candidate in the April 7, 2020 election. Interested persons may file at the superintendent’s office located at 6608 Raytown Rd., Raytown, MO.
Filing will begin on December 24, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. and will close at 9 a.m. Filing will continue Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. except for the last day of filing. Filing will not occur on days that the school district’s administration offices are closed due to inclement weather. Filing will also not occur on the following holidays and breaks when the school district’s administration offices are closed: December 24 (8-9 a.m. only), 25, 26, 27, 30, 31, and January 1 and 2. Filing will end on January 21, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. There are 3 positions available with three-year terms and one position available with a one-year term. On the first day of filing, candidates will be listed on the ballot as determined by a random drawing.
There are three positions available with three-year terms and one position available with a one-year term. Board members whose terms expire in 2020 are Mr. Alonzo Burton, Mr. Terry Landers, Mr. Rick Moore, and Mrs. Beth Plank.
