Welcome to Spring Valley Elementary

  • Exterior in front of Spring Valley Spring Valley was originally slated to open in September of 1964, but construction was incomplete as the date approached.  Students scheduled to attend Spring Valley were temporarily moved to Countryside Methodist Church until November.  Mr. Larry Hammer served as principal of both Spring Valley and Southwood for the 64-65 school year.  When fall of 1965 rolled around, Spring Valley was fully up and running, and welcomed 1st through 6th graders.  Construction costs for Spring Valley were $708,489, a bargain by today's standards.
